About Me
Yiannis Fotopoulos is an aspiring actor, with a deep passion for acting. As a child he was brought up around a family of entertainers mostly from his fathers side. After watching his father perform in front of numerous crowds, Yiannis made it his dream to be on stage or film to entertain an audience. His goal in life is to become a successful and well known actor nationally and internationally, this leads to his main ambition which is to go into more theatre work and break through into TV/Film. Yiannis started training his crafted properly at William Morris Sixth Form College, here he learnt methods, techniques, exercises and expanded his knowlegde of the practitioners that shaped acting today, the likes of Constantin Stanislavsky Bertolt Brecht, Anton Chekov, Martha Graham, Uta Hagen and many more. this is were he did many small A-Level productions such as Macbeth, oh what a lovely war, mother courage and 4:48 psychosis. he also participated in some dance, some type of dance forms were contemporary, Ballet, street dance, capoeria, butoh and while at the college he was selected to perform a small mata nay at the Saddlers Wells theatre, a 7 minute interpretation of Swan lake and taught by some of Mathew Bournes' dancers. Yiannis performed in front of 1500-2000 people that day which was such a thrill and was the most memorable moment for him. he has continued his training at Northbrook college were he continued to learn and develop his craft, over the last two year he has been in many productions, these include many projects such as, Benchmarks 2013, The Servant, The Works of Steven Heavy and The Sexual Awakening of Peter Mayo (this was performed professionally at the brighton Fringe Festival). .
